Fine.. I have one in mind in particular that is smaller but quite livable I designed it for Reathel Giannonatti rural Mentor.
It is simple.. a house, a link, and a garage. the link serves as a large foyer and of course provides access between house and garage, from it you step down into garage, up into house, and also has stair to a basement. the link is on the end of this house and "1/2" of the house on the link end
is the Great room. a laundry single bath and two main level bedrooms are in the other 1/2.
The basement is also divided in havizes. a home office and rec room are under the great room, and additional exercise and bedroom additional bathe equipment room in the remaining portion of the basement.
Reathel's house is on a lake that is behind the house. hence the layout is a direct response to the site.
I'm attaching a plan because it is a great jumping off point .. remember more baths, a link at the side instead of the end of the house, a garage with side not front vehicular access ( garage doors don't dominate the front of the house, bonus room over garage and 1 1/2 story with 1/2 loft and Cathedral ( hate that term rather use sloped) ceiling over great room...blah blah blah.
Take a look and I will be up soon.. I need to check to see of our farm house is still there.
